Sub-Committee Chair Responsibilities

Chairpersons
should organize committee meetings and prepare an agenda, which should be distributed in advance.

The Chair of a sub-committee is responsible for running meetings; keeping the discussion on the appropriate subject, recognizing members (calling on them to speak), and calling for votes after a debate has taken place.

Subcommittees can be established to conduct research and make recommendations for the improvement of the 51st AD.

Subcommittees are encouraged to utilize the website by providing the District office with meeting summaries, agendas and activities.

To learn when sub-committees will meet and/or if you have any additional questions, please contact the Committee Coordinator at the Assembly District office at 310.412.6400.
